Tree Nursery Officer Job

The Conservation and Demand Agency (CODEA) is recruiting a skilled and motivated Tree Nursery Officer to support its tree-planting project in the Rwenzori Region. The project aims to boost coffee and cocoa productivity, restore degraded land, and strengthen climate resilience among smallholder households. It is pre-financed by carbon investors and requires high-quality, compliant seedling production across community and institutional nurseries. The ideal candidate must be a Ugandan citizen with strong technical experience in nursery establishment, seedling propagation, agroforestry, and community training. A Diploma in Forestry or a related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage. Applicants should have at least four years of hands-on nursery management experience, sound environmental and safeguarding knowledge, and readiness to work extensively in the field.
